Icchye Gaon

It is an upcoming tourist destination having just started off with just a few home stays. The place is famous for bird watching and majestic view of mount Kanchenjunga, neighbouring Sikkim and Darjeeling and surrounding areas. Nestled in the hilltop surrounded by beautiful cinchona and sacred Coco Mendo trees, it has the potentials of becoming a model eco village. The government can procure horses/ponies and can give those to the local self help groups who can use those for horse riding activities for the tourists. There are existing trekking routes from here to Sillary Gaon and Algarah.These can be developed as well. The approach road may be developed after consultation with the Cinchona Plantation Board. At the entry point of the spot, a loop in the line of Batasia may be developed. A sunset/sunrise point may also be developed.
